Hey Ya'll! Today I wanted to share with you some special things that I recently did. If you needed to laugh, needed to be inspired . . . whatever. I don't care. As long as it helped you in some way, I'm happy. :)
Below is a rather awkward photo of me. Um, very awkward.
But I'm proud of it, 'cause I'm weird. ;)
This is a collage of my baby sister. Some of these photos I put a lot of work into, some are just grainy. But all in all, I think that they capture her personality. :)
Lastly, if you needed inspiration, check out this board below. I collected these from the internet. I look at this Inspiration Board whenever I feel depressed or alone. Last year I went through a serious conflict with a friend, and verses from the Bible and quotes like these helped to get me through it. I think that's why God has us go through suffering. God will never make us go through something that we can't handle! Like in the book of Job, God only let Satan torture him because He knew Job could handle it.
Thinking negative thoughts instead of positive ones only make the hurt and pain dig even deeper. Don't give Satan that satisfaction! He wants you to feel that way--like your vulnerable and you'll never get through your troubles.
And here's the thing--you won't get through if you think like that. Soon, you'll be buried so deep in your resentment towards yourself , God, and other people that you'll think nobody else knows what it feels like. But Somebody knows exactly what you feel like. Jesus Christ. While He went through the greatest torture a man could ever go through, God turned His back on Him. God cannot look upon sin, and sin--the most horrible, most wretched, most evil things that man had done and ever will do--were being poured, piled, and dumped upon Jesus. Jesus knows your suffering. In fact, Jesus died to stop your suffering! So turn to Jesus.
If you find yourself in a hard situation right now,
1. Stop & pray--that's the best thing you can do right now.
2. Recruit other "prayer warriors"--tell other people about your suffering. (There are three steps to repentance if that's your burden: 1. Repent to God & ask for forgiveness. 2., tell other people involved & ask them for forgiveness. 3., accept forgiveness!)
3. Look at verses and inspiring quotes like below... they will help you delete lies about yourself and others that Satan has planted in your brain.
If you need encouragement, look in fellow Christians! Look in Christian websites & blogs!
I'm here as well . . . e-mail me at emmabigelow@gmail.com
